Kafé - Ka Lévé

Beautiful first album by Ka Lévé, a very famous gwoka group from Guadeloupe lead by Edouard Pignol better known as Kafé . The 4 long tracks of the album are really inspired by the Gwo Ka Modén manifesto written by Gérard Lockel. My favorite Apre Nou Byen Chehe is a great hybrid track between spirit jazz & Gwo Ka with a super funky bassline, also don't miss "Di Adye" in the same vein, the whole lp is excellent from start to finish. Essential album if you are into caribbean/free jazz. Definitely one of my favorite jazz record on Debs ! To rank with Gerard Lockel, Edmony Krater & Zepiss, Max Labor's Mama Says & Roland Brival. Ultra hard to find. Record is NM plays NM. Fragile golden cover is EX with very very light wear and a few crease. . Ultra hard to find in this condition. Actual soundclip.
