Ultimate private caribbean jazz Lp from the mid 80's, recorded by a bunch of musicians/friends with West Indians/African origins gathered around Victor Sabas who recorded an unsung masterpiece for his 1st solo album ! I'm pretty sure this album will reach the Holy Grail status. With 5 long deep warm caribbean jazz tracks : from the killer funky modal "A Pou Zot" that was one of the my favorite track from our "Freedom Jazz France" compilation, to the delightful Coltrane dedication spiritual tune "Mr J.C". Also a deep groovy modern jazz cut "Tradition" or "Feliz". Featuring big names of caribbean jazz with Allan Hoist is on Sax & Flute, Mario Canonge on Piano, Serge Marne on drums & Dousty Dos Santos on Percussions. Extremely hard to find album to rank with Louis Xavier's Ladja, Fabiano Orchestra, Marius Cultier, Georges-Edouard Nouel, Kat-Tet, José Manclière... etc In great condition, record is strong EX close to NM. Cover is NM.
