Bèlènou - Mizik Bélé

Extremely hard to find private album by Bèlènou, a band from Martinique lead by composer/musician Edmond Mondésir. This album is a fantastic fusion between Bélé music (tradiitional music of the slaves from Martinique, similar to Gwo Ka from Guadeloupe) and some element of jazz like sax, bass, guitar, flute. This invisble album is really solid from start to finish  and revelas some deep and intense compostions like Syèl Kléré, Ekonomi, Yo konpran-n nou ké moli, Komité popilé, Jénès Péyi Nèf La, with a strong political beliefs in their lyrics. This album and the whole band discography is totally overlooked, one of the best kept secret from the french West Indies ! Very similar to Gérard Lockel and his Gwo Ka Modern from Guadeloupe. Record is in close to perfect condition, cover is in great shape (just a few barely visible marks of water damage on the back cover).  Serious offer only.
