The I.M.E was the first art center/ music school in Martinique founded by philosopher Edouard Glissant in order to promote the creole culture in the West Indies. From this early days period of free jazz scene it exists 2 albums and this 7". Both Lps are simply impossible to find and we just recently disocvered this 7 was released ! Features some legendary names of french West Indies Jazz Bib Monville, Alain Jean-Marie, Fred Cécé, Winston Berkeley, Jojo Grocravla, Georges Pastel - Jazz – Poesie A L'I.M.E. 7 consist in a one long track, a traditionnal theme biguine Travail Raide in a wild post-bop / modal & free version. Check the actual audio. This is a true piece of caribbean jazz musical history. Unfortunately the Live recording of this 7 was very poor. Probably released in a very condidiential run.
