Still pretty ignored by collectors, This Noël Créole album by Henri Guédon is probably as good as his famous Cosmozouk Percussion. Recorded at the same period with many of the same musicians but still overlooked, it was not properely exposed ! Includes so many good tracks like the fantastic latin jazz-funk monster L'An Mess Minuit really reminding me of Vulcano on Cosmozouk, followed by the classic version of the deep melancholic biguine of La Pli. One of the most surprising track is 24 au Soe with indian harp, pan flute and percussions and the sweet voice of Guédon : extremely spiritual for your Christmas Eve ! Biguine Carillon is a funky solo of biguine drums patterns with Xmas chimes. Check the long audio clip. Record is strong EX, cover is NM.
