Jean-Pierre Auger - Les Exilés d'Utopus .... Mode d'emploi pour rêver ...

Kiosque d'Orphée, this now defunct parisian studio and label has pressed thousands of DIY production from 1959 to 1991, most of the interesting and obscure production has now seriously been revealed and documented but this nice weirdo project / concept album called Les Exilés d'Utopus, recorded by a music teacher with his students, is still overlooked to many (and not yet on the infamous discogs). Extremely hard to find it includes some really good cuts like Rue des coeurs qui balancent a very cute folk jazz with choirs and effects. Déprime is a depressing funky gainsbourg inspired cosmic pop track with a huge sample potential ! While the best track in my opinion is (the wrongly named) Jazz de Jour that opens with a classic jazz intro and evolves super nice baleraric disco cut ! Stock copy, no spare. Jump on it !
