Marcel Louis-Joseph - Swing and Soul / Prière au soleil

Seldom seen and impossible to find 7" by another unsung maestro from the West Indies, Marcel Louis-Joseph. Although he played alto, tenor, bariton and flute on many many excellent albums produced in Guadeloupe and Martinique, this is the only record he has released under his own name, it was privately produced by Tinou Lavital's label, Antilles Music Diffusion. Probably the most respected sax player with Emile Antile & Robert Mavouzny from Guadeloupe, he was more involved into jazz than caribbean music, and you can hear that on this monster Prière au Soleil that we choose to compile on Kouté Jazz. This is seriously one of the best jazz funk cut ever produced in France, with Alain-Jean Marie on Organ and Ti Marcel on Tenor sax. Record looks unplayred. Cover is in super shape strong EX. No split. For serious collectors only !
