Pucho & His Latin Soul Brothers - Super Freak

Released in 1972's this Super Freak sounds more like a Funkadelic album than a classic Pucho Latin Jazz album. The nearly side-long  opening track is a medley of three tracks from Curtis Mayfield's Superfly: the title track, "Pusherman," and, of course, "Freddie's Dead." Heavy, druggy, and psychedelic, with thick organ and wah-wah guitars, even better than the Curtis version ! Superb copy in great shape.
