I'm glad to offer for sale this super rare gwo ka jazz album by bassist Rémy Cabarrus, recorded with the same bunch of friends playing on the Max Labor's Mama Says : Camille Soprane on alto and soprano sax, Hector Ficadière on Gwoka, Michel Monrose on Piano and organ, Max Labor on guitar, Serge Marne on drums. Totally underrated, this album dedicated to Charly Mingus, produced by Adolphe Parillon on Frédéric 7 (his own label) brilliantly mixes jazz with traditional guadeloupean native drums Gwo Ka. Don't miss Big Kâ & Guadri-Kâ both nice examples of Gwo Ka modern funky jazz. Sing a little bird (Chante Piti Zozio) is a beautiful delicate warm jazz tune with groovy solos by Soprann and Labor. Melancholy is also a nice tradionnal biguine jazz interrupted by some nice funky bass-drums-guitar-percussions solos. Don't sleep as once again this has been pressed to a limited run as always on Frédéric 7. Still sealed copy. Soundclip from a previous copy for sale. This one is SEALED !
