Ultra rare, totally cult and still overlooked french DIY rarity, recorded in 1975 and released two years later as a private edition of only 200 copies on Le Kiosque D'Orphée a legendary label (that was also a very famous parisian studio for self produced artists) (but ), Warlus - Songs could be regarded as one of 5 rarest french psych private pressfrom the 70's. Warlus was the brainchild of young musician Richard Maubert, who created a mini- masterpiece of twisted, melancholic fuzzed-out psychedelic pop, with a charming homemade sound/production and druggy atmosphere. Sung in English, it also brings to mind some obscure acid folk american private pressings. This is a very special record that will appeal to both psych aficionados and fans of 70s DIY weirdness. To rank with your Dandelion or Les Temps Heureux. Super clean EX / EX copy. Record is strong EX, plays with a few background noises here and there (due to quality of pressing). Really a superb copy. Grab this copy now or never ! Soundclip soon. Really serious offers.
